What Pigeon Control Involves

Effective pigeon control requires addressing the birds currently present, removing the contamination they have left behind, and physically preventing their re-access to the property. Our team handles all three as part of a coordinated service built around the findings of the inspection.

Our pigeon control process includes:

• Property inspection – Our technicians identify all active roosting and nesting sites, assess the extent of damage and waste accumulation, and determine which structural features birds are exploiting. For properties with rooftop solar panels, inspection includes the underside of the array. Every recommendation that follows is based on what we find.
• Nest removal – All nesting material is removed from affected areas. Nesting debris, which can include flammable materials such as dried grass and twigs near electrical components, is cleared as part of every service before any exclusion work begins.
• Waste cleanup and sanitation – Droppings are removed from affected surfaces, and sanitation treatments are applied to reduce health risks and eliminate scent markers that draw pigeons back to an established site. Thorough cleanup is part of what makes exclusion installation more effective in the long term.
• Exclusion installation – Physical exclusion is the most reliable method for preventing pigeons from returning. Depending on the property and specific nesting or roosting locations, exclusion may include perimeter mesh around rooftop solar arrays, netting over ledges or recessed areas, or spikes along preferred perch points. Materials and installation methods are selected for the specific application, and in the case of solar panel work, chosen to protect panel performance and manufacturer warranty terms.
